Why These Exist

Why We Built These Calculators

Most online tax calculators are generic, out of date, or built for a different country's rules entirely. Ours aren't. Every tool on this page is built and maintained by Khan & Co's own tax and legal consultants, using current FBR slabs, provincial stamp duty schedules and the Zakat & Ushr Ordinance – the same rules we apply when we file returns and handle transfers for our clients. Use them to plan ahead, then bring the number to us when you're ready to file, register or transfer.

Built on Current Pakistani Tax & Legal Framework

These tools are grounded in the actual legislation FBR and provincial authorities apply – not estimates borrowed from another country's tax code:

  • Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 (FBR salary & business slabs)
  • Sales Tax Act, 1990 & Customs Act, 1969 (import duty, sales tax at import)
  • Zakat & Ushr Ordinance, 1980 (Nisab, zakatable assets)
  • Provincial Stamp Act & Finance Acts (registry stamp duty, CVT)
  • Sections 236C / 236K, Income Tax Ordinance (property withholding tax)

Source rates are cross-checked against fbr.gov.pk and the relevant provincial revenue authority whenever they change.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these calculators really free?+

Yes, all 7 tools are free to use, with no signup required.

How accurate are the results?+

They use current FBR and provincial rates and are accurate for planning purposes. Your final assessment can differ once deductions, credits and prior withholding are applied – that's where our team confirms the exact figure.

Do I still need an accountant if I use these?+

For a quick estimate, no. For filing a return, registering a transfer or defending an assessment, yes – these tools give you the number, our team handles the paperwork and compliance.

Which calculator do I need for buying property?+

Use the Registry Expense Calculator for transfer taxes, and check the ATL Checker first, since your filer status changes the withholding tax rate.

Is my data stored when I use a calculator?+

No, calculations run in your session and aren't stored or shared.
