Active Taxpayer List (ATL) Checker
Check your filer status instantly, and see the withholding tax surcharge you're paying if you're not on the list.
How This Calculator Works
- 1Enter your CNIC number.
- 2We check your status against the current Active Taxpayer List.
- 3See the extra withholding tax a non-filer pays on your transaction type.
Why Filer Status Is Worth Checking
Non-filers pay a materially higher withholding tax rate on cash withdrawals, vehicle registration and transfer, property purchase, and dividend income - sometimes double the filer rate. Filing status can also lapse if a return is filed late, so checking before a major transaction avoids an unpleasant surprise at the counter.
Becoming a Filer
If the checker shows you're not active, our income tax services team can get your return filed and your ATL status updated, usually within one FBR processing cycle.
