Your income after allowable deductions, before tax — for the period selected above.

"Salaried" applies if salary income is more than 75% of your total taxable income — different slab rates apply to each class.

Applies a 25% rebate on your salary tax if eligible. This rebate has been repeatedly withdrawn and reinstated across recent Finance Acts — confirm current eligibility before relying on it.

How This Calculator Works

  • 1Choose salaried or business/AOP income.
  • 2Enter your annual gross income.
  • 3See tax payable, average rate and take-home pay instantly.

Why Salaried and Business Taxpayers Use It

Pakistan's income tax slabs change most tax years, and salaried vs. business/AOP income is taxed on different schedules. A manual estimate is easy to get wrong - either overpaying through the year or facing an underpayment notice later. This calculator applies the correct current slab automatically, so you know your number before you file.

Filer vs. Non-Filer

Being on the Active Taxpayer List changes far more than your income tax bill - it affects withholding tax on banking transactions, vehicle registration, property transfer and dividends. Check your status with our ATL Checker before relying on this number.

FAQs

Does this calculator cover business income as well as salary?+

Yes. Switch the income type toggle to see the applicable business/AOP slab instead of the salaried slab.

Is the result the same as what FBR will assess?+

It's an accurate estimate based on gross income and current slab rates. Your actual assessment can differ once deductions, tax credits and withholding already paid are factored in.

How often are the slabs updated?+

Whenever FBR revises them, typically with the Finance Act each fiscal year.
